Who we are

Festirae is a free app that helps you discover art exhibitions, cultural events, and creative venues near you. It is operated by Auguza SASU, France. For privacy matters, contact us at privacy@festirae.app.

Account and personal data

Creating an account is optional. Without an account, Festirae does not collect any personal identifier. When you choose to create an account, we collect the email address you provide and use it solely to send you reminders about upcoming exhibitions and events near you. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.

If you have an account, we may store your last known location on our servers in order to send you relevant reminders about events near you. This data is associated with your account and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties. We process your email and location data on the basis of your consent, given when you create an account.

Your email and location data are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@festirae.app. We will process your request within 30 days.

Location data

Festirae requests access to your device location to center the map on your current position and to sort nearby exhibitions by distance. Location access is optional — you can use the app without granting it. We process device location under our legitimate interest in providing core app functionality.

Analytics and app improvement

We do not currently use any analytics SDK or tracking tool. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before collecting any analytics data.

Map services

The map is powered by different providers depending on your platform: Google Maps on Android, Apple Maps on iOS, and Mapbox on the web. When you view the map, your device's IP address and the area of the map you are viewing are sent to the relevant provider. On Android, Google Maps may also receive a device identifier per Google's policies. We do not control the data these providers collect — please refer to their respective privacy policies: Google, Apple, Mapbox.

Exhibition and event data

All exhibition, artwork, and event information is fetched from our own API at festirae.app. We log standard HTTP server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested path) to detect errors and protect against abuse. These logs are retained for 30 days, are not sold or shared, and are processed under our legitimate interest in maintaining service security and reliability.

Hosting and infrastructure

Festirae runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. AWS processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. For details, see AWS's privacy notice.

International data transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — to ensure your data is protected. Map providers (Google, Apple, Mapbox) may also transfer data internationally under their own data protection frameworks; see their privacy policies linked above.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request its erasure, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy of your data. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are in the EU, you can contact the data protection authority in your country of residence. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@festirae.app.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise these rights, email privacy@festirae.app.

Children

Festirae is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@festirae.app.
